Just Say It! Creative Arts Program provides creative writing workshops, poetry workshops, and theatrical training for youth in grades 5th-12th.
We offer a variety of In-School and After School classes designed to strengthen reading comprehension, critical thinking, and transformational thinking in our students. We teach students how to engage with the text while, learning how to create their own stories.
Such writing and arts engagement fosters a positive identity while teaching students how to widen their perspective; teaching them how to capture historical, social, political context in literature and in their own writings.
Finally, it is our goal to intercept marginal readers through creative writing and theater. Just Say It! Creative Arts develops and implements arts education programming that cultivates ongoing relationships between the student, school, and community.
